Terms of Service
These terms apply to jimv.io, to the JimV Box store, and to JimV Box appliances bought from us.
Acceptance
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the site and do not order from us.
JimV LLC is a California limited liability company. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean JimV LLC.
Orders
Orders are placed through our store. An order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we accept the order and it ships.
We may decline or cancel an order — for example where the product is unavailable, where a price or description was published in error, or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.
Prices and tax
Prices are shown in United States dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address.
We ship within the United States only. We do not currently ship to other countries.
Payment
Payment is processed by our checkout provider and its payment processors. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Delivery, risk and title
Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. Title passes to you once we have received payment in full.
Software
Every JimV Box ships with the JimV platform preinstalled. Hardware and software are sold together as a single product.
The software carries no license limits and no license term. Updates continue to be provided, and there is no recurring license or subscription fee for the software on your appliance.

Returns, refunds and the 1-year limited hardware warranty are set out in our returns and warranty policy, which forms part of these terms.

Warranties and disclaimers
Apart from the express 1-year limited hardware warranty, and any other warranty we give you in writing, the product and this website are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have under California law that cannot be limited or excluded, including rights under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act where it applies to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to a JimV Box or to these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Acceptable use of this website
Do not attempt to disrupt this site, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to distribute malware or unlawful content. We may block access where we consider it necessary.
Intellectual property
The JimV and JimV Box names, the content of this site, and the software remain our property or that of our licensors. Buying an appliance does not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the right to use the product.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
If a dispute arises, write to [email protected] first. We will try in good faith to resolve it with you within 30 days. If that does not resolve it, the dispute will be decided by a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of California, and both sides submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in effect when you placed it.
